Who We Are
1001 Colors is a youth employment and arts-based workforce development organization that produces world class public art and creative projects. Since 1996, we’ve employed more than 8,000 artists, building a creative economy where artists grow, earn income, and are supported at every stage of their careers. Through paid jobs, professional development, and mentorship starting as young as age 14, we help turn creativity into a viable career path.. In partnership with the community, we’ve produced more than 400 murals and well over 1,001 large-scale projects, helping elevate Cincinnati as a national leader in public art and cultural vibrancy. Today, 1001 Colors brings renowned contemporary artists together with local artists and youth to create a citywide gallery for all. We create bold art that builds bright futures.
