What should I wear or bring when volunteering?

For hands on or outdoor volunteer opportunities, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing that can get dirty, along with closed toe shoes.

Do volunteers need to bring art supplies or tools?

No. Volunteers are not expected to bring supplies unless specifically asked. All necessary materials for volunteer tasks are provided by 1001 Colors.

Are volunteer hours tracked?

Yes, volunteer hours can be tracked upon request. This may be helpful for students, service hour requirements, or employer supported volunteer programs.

Is volunteering paid?

No, volunteer opportunities are unpaid. If you are looking for paid creative opportunities, we encourage you to explore our Apprentice, Studio Artist, or Teaching Artist programs.
