Introducing 1001 Colors.
After 30 years as ArtWorks, we’re stepping into a new chapter with a new name and a sharpened mission!
This is not a reset.
It’s an evolution.
What started as a belief, that young people deserve opportunity and artists deserve to be paid for their work, has grown into something far bigger: a creative economy where art creates real pathways.
Here, young people are employed as artists, not volunteers.
They collaborate with professionals.
They create work that shapes neighborhoods and reflects lived experience.
“We chose the name 1001 Colors because no single color can capture the brilliance of the creativity we see every day. It reflects a spectrum of ideas, voices, and possibilities, our creative community is constantly evolving and full of potential.” Colleen Houston, CEO & Artistic Director
This is more than a name change.
It’s a sharper expression of who we are and where we’re going.
Welcome to 1001 Colors, where we create Bold Art that builds Bright Futures.
