Go beyond the finished artwork and hear directly from the emerging artists who are shaping 1001 Colors’ 2026 summer season. This three-part Artist Talk Series offers an inside look at the creative process, collaboration, challenges, and impact behind some of the region's most exciting public art, design, and youth apprenticeship projects.
Each session features project presentations, behind-the-scenes stories, works in progress, and opportunities to engage with the artists and teams bringing these initiatives to life.

Inspired by root systems and mycelium networks, this new mural explores how leadership grows through connection. Created in partnership with Paycor, the artwork visualizes the relationships, trust, and collaboration that strengthen communities and organizations.
1001 Colors Mural Repair Team
Learn about the often-unseen work of preserving public art. This team is dedicated to maintaining and restoring murals throughout the region, ensuring these community landmarks continue to inspire for years to come.
Playhouse in the Park Summer Camp
In a first-time collaboration with Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, apprentices are supporting summer programming through set design, prop creation, and arts education experiences with young campers.
SRO Screen Printing Apprenticeship
Working alongside SRO Prints in Lincoln Heights, apprentices gain hands-on experience in screen printing production while helping fulfill real client orders and developing valuable creative workforce skills.
