When BLINK Cincinnati returns this October (8th-11th), three iconic 1001 Colors murals will become part of the city's largest immersive art experience. Through large-scale projection mapping, light, motion, and live performance, these beloved public artworks will be transformed after dark, creating entirely new ways to experience some of Cincinnati's most recognizable cultural landmarks.

Martha, The Last Passenger Pigeon

Created in honor of one of Cincinnati's most famous historical figures, Martha, The Last Passenger Pigeon stands as a powerful reminder of both the city's natural history and the importance of conservation. During BLINK, the mural will become the canvas for a dynamic projection experience that reimagines Ruthven's celebrated artwork through light and movement.
Armstrong

Towering above Downtown Cincinnati, Armstrong celebrates the life and legacy of Neil Armstrong through Eduardo Kobra's signature colorful, geometric style. During BLINK, visitors will experience this larger-than-life tribute in an entirely new dimension as projection mapping activates the mural after dark.

A bold exploration of identity, transformation, and shared humanity, Shahzia Sikander's Commons has become one of Cincinnati's most significant public artworks. Throughout BLINK, the mural will serve as a backdrop for an immersive projection experience that amplifies the artwork's themes and visual power.

Don't miss a special one-night-only performance presented by Pones and eight 1001 Colors Youth Apprentices.
Inspired by Commons, this original contemporary dance work translates the mural's themes into movement, creating a powerful dialogue between public art, performance, and place. Presented directly in front of the mural during BLINK's projection experience, the performance transforms the artwork into a living stage and offers audiences a unique opportunity to engage with one of Cincinnati's most celebrated murals in a new way.
